Uh Oh

Okay for the last week my Father has been asking me what the first rule of working with sharp objects was. For those who don't know the first rule, second rule, third rule, fourth rule and on and on is "Safety First". Okay Dad I got it. So apparently I wasn't very safe on Monday night when I was cutting the last piece of sheet rock for the night at my step-brothers house and slipped and sliced open my thumb. As soon as I looked at what I had done I knew I was off to the emergency room. So, Susan grabbed a washcloth to hold around my thumb, Lance ran in the other room for alcohol, and bandage material (thank you Lance)and Cheryl got my things and took me. I haven't really figured out why my Dad didn't take me but I am grateful for Cheryl willing to wait three hours at the emergency room while I sat there waiting to see a doctor. So as I sat on my bed in my assigned room my nurse, which they called Q-Tip just watched me. So finally after an hour and a half she finally asked if I had seen a doctor. I told her no and she went to check. She came back and told me the doctor was looking at my x-rays and would be right with me. I looked at her confused and told her I never took x-rays and she figured out I was the "laceration". So after all that and listening to the lady next to me talk to herself and pretty much everyone else in the room about her stomach problems the doctor came over. He looked at my thumb, asked me a few questions and went to find the glue. So three hours later I finally got discharged with a glued thumb all bandaged up, a tetnis shot and some good pain pills. What a night.

Yosemite

This past weekend a group of us went up to a cabin outside of Yosemite. It was a much needed getaway. We spent the weekend playing pool, darts, watching movies, playing cards and of course eating. On Saturday we drove into Yosemite Park and hiked around. The weather was gorgeous. You couldn't of asked for a better fall day in the mountains.
